Bonnie Ericson, a long-time Seminole resident and attorney will seek the Republican nomination for the office of District Attorney for the 106th Judicial District.

"I am announcing my intention to be a candidate for the Republican nomination for the office of the District Attorney for the 106th Judicial District," said Ericson. "This is not a decision that has been made lightly or quickly, but is one I have considered for the past several months."

Ericson has practiced law within the 106th Judicial District for the past 30 years, having participated on both the defense and prosecution side of the law as an "experienced civil and criminal trial attorney."

"I know the court system and the needs of law enforcement and the victims of crime," said Ericson. "I believe I can bring efficiency, timely disposition of cases and justice for the safety of our towns, for the victims of crimes and for the defendants charged with the crimes."

"Because of my experience as a solo practicing attorney for the past 30 years, I have management experience, know how to budget funds, manage expenses, time and staff," Ericson added.  "I can and will protect and conserve the money provided by the taxpayers for the office of District Attorney.  I look forward to meeting and discussing these and other topics with the citizens of Dawson, Gaines, Garza and Lynn counties over the next months
