You may have noticed a recent halt in work on the Main Street brick project; However, it appears that now everything is back on schedule.  According to an email from Post City Manager Arbie Taylor, "The brick paving project hit a small speed bump last week when it was discovered that the soil under the bricks did not meet the specifications printed by the engineer."

Taylor met with the engineers earlier this week and "the situation had been resolved."  Now a thicker concrete layer will be placed under the bricks to ensure that there will be no failures.

"Unfortunately, the crew on the ground was caught in the middle and had no choice but to await a final decision as to what the solution would be," Tailor explained further.  "Therefore, the work slowed and eventually stopped until the engineers and the contractor could get on the same page."

Taylor added, "Our electrical improvements in the medians has been slow at times, but it is almost done, and, the landscape work will be beginning soon."

This news is good news.  Soon Main Street will once again have the picturesque appeal that makes our community unique!
