Gary McDaniel Announces Re-election Bid

Published Jan. 9, 2012 @ 9:13 p.m.

I want to announce that I have filed for re-election for County Commissioner Precinct One of Garza County.

The job of Commissioner continues to be a learning experience and I would like to continue working for you. I would also like to continue working for Garza County. There are many issues to work on, such as continual road work within a tight budget, while costs keep going up. The Commissioner’s Court is working on another wind energy project to bring a broader and larger tax base to the county. I continue to work with the Garza County Museum Board. We have a lot of important history to preserve. The new county jail provides adequate space for all of Garza County’s needs and continues to hold enough area prisoners to pay for the facility.

I support the Commissioner’s Courts joint efforts with the law enforcement, to make jail operations efficient and save the county and city money. We continue to meet the challenges of higher costs while we hold the line on county taxes.

I will continue to work to operate our county in a manner we can all be proud of.

I will be visiting each one I can and asking for your vote and support in the upcoming primary election.

Thank you,

Gary McDaniel
