Swim Party – 4-H Back to School swim party! All current and prospective Garza County 4-H members are invited to the Public pool Thursday, July 28 from 6-8 PM. The event is in conjunction with the Post band back to school swim party. The More the Merrier!
Bob Benson Memorial Golf Tournament - August 16th, at the Plainview Country Club. Proceeds sponsor local 4-H youth so if you are interested, call the office.
State Roundup Results - Kelbie Oden, first place, with her storyboard while Jackie Milton placed 2nd. Audree Williams competed in the Quilt challenge. The quilt is currently on display at Citizens Bank. Raffle tickets for the quilt are on sale with money going to the Syd Conner Memorial Scholarship. Dakota McDonald placed 2nd in District with his record book in the Horse division.
The 2011 Electric Event, sponsored by Xcel Energy, was at capacity with 70 High School age 4-H members. Pictures are on the Garza County Extension Face Book page. Attending from Garza County were Audree Williams, Dakota and Nancy McDonald. Thanks to Xcel for supporting our youth.
Fundraisers - 4-H members are asked to help in the Rodeo Concession stand. Sign up by calling the office at 495-4400. Remember, you get into the rodeo for free when you work.
Football Program – Garza County 4-H is selling ads for the Antelope football programs. Youth and volunteers will be contacting everyone soon. If you are a business or parent and are interested in an ad, call the office at 495-4400.
