8th Grade Bold Gold Wins Another

Two year win streak, 17-0

Published Nov. 9, 2011 @ 8:32 p.m.

In last Thursday's match-up against two teams with unblemished records, the Post 8th grade football team extend an undefeated junior high school career by handily defeating the formerly undefeated Sundown Roughnecks, 46-0, at Jimmie Redman Memorial Stadium.

The Sundown team, like Post, entered the game with no losses in the seventh or eighth grade seasons.

The Bold Gold 8th grade finishes the year at 9-0 and 17-0 over two years.

Prior to the 8th grade game, the Post-Sundown 7th grade teams played and before that the Post combined 7th & 8th grade B "fun bunch" played the 7th grade Hamlin Pipe Pipers.

Both games were close with Sundown winning 14-0 and Hamlin barely getting by 24-20.
