Management & Training Corporation’s (MTC) Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility (GWDCF) in Post, Texas has been certified as a Foundations® for Life correctional facility.
“We are very pleased with our entire staff,” said Warden Kerry Dixon. “The audit covered the quality of our facility’s inmate programs and services. We received a 100% score which reaffirms our staff’s commitment to enhance inmate opportunities and improve their quality of life while at our facility.”
Foundations for Life® is an MTC certification designed to improve the delivery of programs and services for detainees and inmates. Facilities are assessed in six areas: facility and staff appearance, inmate admission and orientation, care, activities, justice and administration and management.
MTC certified Foundations for Life® facilities provide academic education, career and technical education, life skills, cognitive skills and substance abuse treatment/education along with community service projects above and beyond contractual obligations.
MTC Senior Vice President of Corrections, Odie Washington, said, “Foundations for Life® facilities provide inmates with quality educational opportunities that will be crucial as they transition back into the community. We are proud of the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility.”
GWDCF is MTC’s third facility to receive the Foundations for Life certification, along with Otero County Processing Facility and Taft Correctional Institution.
