Post Finishes 2nd in District Meet
Team Advances to Regional Run

LUBBOCK - The varsity runners on the Post team live to run another day.
After placing second in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet held on Wednesday at Lubbock's Mae Simmons Park, the Post team now prepares for the Region 1-2A meet set for Saturday, November 5th at 12 noon again at the familiar Mae Simmons Park.
Out of 46 varsity runners, seven Lady Lopes finished in the top 26 in the two mile race. Bethany Curtis (6th) ran a 13:38 time, Kelbie Oden (8th) a 13:44 and Kim Rivera (9th) clocked-in at 13:45. The other four crossed the finsih line in the following order: Taylor Osborn 14:25 (19th), Rebecca Perez 14:36 (21st), Hailey Berry 14:57 (25th) and Shirley Araiza 14:58 (26th).
Isaac Stern was the lone varsity Antelope runner and he finished 15th out of 39 covering three miles in 19:27.
The District 3-2A team standings are as follows: 1st - Roosevelt; 2nd - Post; 3rd - Slaton; 4th - Coahoma; 5th - Forsan; 6th - Stanton; 7th - Denver City.
The district meet also featured junior varsity and junior high school participants. The JV Lady Lopes team finished 3rd. Here are the individual results of the Post runners.
