District Football Season Begins
Antelopes take on Forsan

The Bold Gold varsity football team will make an almost two hour excursion to Forsan to play the Buffaloes for the District 2-2a, Division II season opener. Kickoff on Friday night is at 7:30.
The Lopes go into the first district game with a 1-3 record after a close loss to the Floydada Whirlwinds here last week. (Click here for the Floydada game story.)
Forsan enters week 4 with 3-1 record after winning their homecoming game against Plains, 49-7.
The district season presents a clean slate for all the teams to start anew. The three teams with the best district records will advance to the play-off season.
The other district games this Friday are: undefeated Hawley (4-0) plays Anson (0-4), Stanton has a 2-2 record and will play Coahoma (1-3) while Idalou (3-1) is open this week.
Thursday night the Junior Varsity Lopes (1-3) hosts Forsan with a 6:00 p.m. kick-off.
The Junior High (7th and 8th grade teams) play at Forsan on Thursday. The seventh grade begins at 5:00 p.m. and the eighth grade game follows. Both Post JH teams are 2-0 after beating Floydada last week. (Click here to see game summaries.)
