A rare sight in Post at the end of July was a sign for free regular gasoline. Many stopped to take advantage to only discover that there was a glitch in the electronic display and that the price was as high as usual.

The Antelope Athletic Booster Club met on on July 23 to plan for the 2012-2013 school year. Next meeting is set for August 20. All Lopes and Lady Lopes supporters are invited to attend.

The West Texas College camp was the third and final volleyball gathering of the summer before official practices started on Monday, August 6. Lady Westerner Coach Sheldon Carvalho brought his staff to conduct the activities at the Post Antelope Arena August 1-3. The Lady Lopes high school teams face Lubbock Christian HS there in a scrimmage Saturday, August 11 @ 11 a.m.

The Post Animal Refuge Center was the recipient of $215 in donations solicited at the Post City Park during KCBD's Community Coverage Tour on July 24. Pictured are some of the animal shelter residents and PARC volunteers.

The Bold Gold football camp was held the mornings of Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2nd at the practice field at the Post ISD track. The camp, was open to incoming 3rd through 8th grade students.

The remodeled concession stand and entry gate is ready to welcome and serve the crowd at the 72nd Post Stampede Rodeo, August 9-11.
