SLATON -  The Post boys and girls high school teams visited arch rival Slaton on Tuesday (1/10/2012) for District 3-2A basketball challenges.  The Tigers and Tigerettes used the home court advantage to secure junior varsity and varsity wins.

The senior Antelope squad (0-4 in district) was led by Corbin McDonalds 15 points and showed great improvement from the charity stripe hitting 11 of 15 free throws.  Slaton's Sir Hollis was the games leading scorer with 17 as the Tigers improved their district record to 3-1 with the 63-45 victory.  The JV Lopes fell to Slaton 75-40.

The Lady Lopes (1-5 in district) had similar trouble with the Tigerettes losing 64-39.  Slaton, now 5-1, received double digit scoring from four starters led by Shay Felton's 16 points.  Post's senior center Shirley Araiza knocked in 10 to lead the Lopes.  The JV Lady Lopes lost 39-23.
