Bold Gold Looks to Stay Unbeaten

Friday night the Bold Gold Antelopes, take a 3-0 league record to Olton in a District 2-2, Division II match-up at 7:30 p.m. at Mustang Stadium.  

The Lopes are tied for first place with Abernathy and the Mustangs are alone in last place with an 0-3 district record.  Last week, Olton lost to Abernathy 42-0 as Post defeated Floydada 26-16 at home.

Post is averaging 33 points a game while giving up 24.  Olton, new this season to the 2A division, is scoring 11 points per game and gives up 32.

Thursday evening the JV Lopes will host the Idalou 9th grade for a 5:00 p.m. game.  The junior high teams are at Olton with the "Fun Bunch" B-team playing at 4:30 p.m. followed by the 7th and 8th grade teams. 

The weather forecast for the game Friday in Olton is fair with a kick off temp of about 68 degrees and will drop to about 57 by the end of the game.

Other Friday district action puts Abernathy (3-0) hosting Roosevelt (1-2) and Tulia (1-2) at Floydada (1-2).
