Published June 24, 2012 @ 6 a.m.

For the second summer in a row, second year head volleyball Coach Charlyn Hohman will conduct a camp for incoming 2nd through 9th grade girls at the Antelope Arena.  The summer event is scheduled for July 16-18 (Monday-Wednesday) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  The registration fee is $50.

The goal of the 2012 Summer Volleyball Camp "is to provide a positive and fun experience for all players.  We aim to introduce the fundamentals of the game as well as competition and games," according to the camp brochure.

Training will focus on passing, setting, hitting, serving, 5/1 & 6/2 offenses, serve receive, blocking, defense and 6 on 6.  Attendants must wear proper clothing like athletic shoes, tank top or short sleeve t-shirt, shorts/spandex and knee pads.  Also, the girls must wear their hair pulled back and out of the face.

Preregistration is suggested, but you may sign-up at the door.  A parent or guardian must sign a release and indemnity agreement which is on the registration brochure.
