Post Football Players of the Week and A-J Honor Roll

Based on their performances, the following players were recognized by the Post coaching staff for their outstanding play in Week 3's win over Tahoka, 22-13 which improved the Lope's record to 4-0:
Offensive - Pake Jones, quarterback: ran the offense well and had 83 yards rushing.
Defensive - Paul Martinez, nose guard: 9 tackles and helped contained Tahoka's top rusher and has improved every game.
Bold Gold - Bryan Smith, fullback and linebacker: 87 yards rushing, a TD to put game out of reach, 9 tackles, and good job of punting to keep the Bulldogs in poor field position.
Early Wednesday morning, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal released it's weekly honor roll of area football players who excelled in the previous game.
Five Post Antelopes are on the list of 2A players who had impressive stats in last week's game:
D.J. Brown, RB, Post, 5-6, 140, Jr.: Rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown in a 22-13 win over Tahoka.
Pake Jones, QB, Post, 5-10, 160, Jr.: Rushed for 76 yards in a 22-13 win over Tahoka.
Bryan Smith, RB, Post, 6-0, 185, Soph.: Rushed for 83 yards in a 22-13 win over Tahoka.
Nathan Gill, LB, Post, 6-0, 191, Sr.: Had 12 tackles, two tackles for losses, in a 22-13 win over Tahoka.
Alejo Rodriguez, LB, Post, 5-8, 165, Soph.: Recorded 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, in a 22-13 win over Tahoka.
